Any Blargnauts out there who’ve enjoyed the dungeon crawling and comedy packed RPG series Hyperdimension Neptunia so far? With both the first game and its sequel, Neptunia Mk2, leaving quite an impression on RPG fans, NIS America is back with the exciting and awaited release of…
That’s right, Neptune is back as the main character with an interesting set of events and new game features!
Hyperdimension Neptunia V is set in the 1980s version of Gamindustri after Neptune is sent to it unexpectedly. She must find her way back while trying to protect this alternate world of Gamindustri as well, including the help of all new friends of course!
When you think of Neptunia, you definitely think of the amusing cutscenes with the constant poking of the fourth wall and video game references. There is definitely more of that, along with more polished battle mechanisms, and of course more dungeons!
Some of the new key features are what really make me excited for this game to be released. These include:
- The scout system, which allows you to send out scouts to explore dungeons you’ve gone through before and gather info. If they level, they might find things you yourself may haven’t noticed.
- Creating game discs! Before you earned existing game discs to equip to your party members, but now you have the chance of obtaining blank discs, which can give the ability to create your very own, customized discs. Through the process of making these, you can also unlock different new abilities!
And these are only a couple of the many new features heading to HN: V! This sounds like one of the most jam-packed installations of Neptunia yet, and I know there’s a lot of people excited for it. The game will be released on March 12, 2013 for North America and March 15, 2013 for Europe. Get your PS3 controllers ready Blargnauts!
