Hello fellow BlargNauts, KitsuneKyon here. As many of you may or may not know, as of this month, Twitch.tv has changed how we can highlight specific moments in a cast. Under the revised highlight system, editors appointed by a caster are the only ones allowed to create a highlight from a broadcast, not the community like before.

Under the original system, highlights were a great way for the Twitch community to share their favorite moments with each other. An example would be hilarious moments in charity casts like Aria vs Zoeker in a wrestling match, or doing a year of review community highlight show like KingFoom from Destructoid or TheGreatGQ. We understand that we can still have these types of moments highlighted. However, under the revised system, it’ll make it that much harder to truly capture these moments and we feel, to a degree, it disconnects the relationship between a broadcaster and his/her community.

Thusly, the staff here at Ariablarg.tv strongly feel that this is a step backward in the many changes that Twitch has implemented. In response, Aria has created a petition to let Twitch know we are highly unsatisfied with this change and propose a better solution detailed within.
